How It Works

Initially, we'll be able to give you a price range and the script choices available for your date. Final price will depend on the script chosen, time frame, number in attendance, distance involved, etc.

Once you are ready to proceed, we'll firm up the script choice and price. I'll send you our standard production contract. Once this has been signed and returned with a 25% deposit, your date will be reserved. Should you cancel at least 30 days before the event, the deposit will be returned in full. The balance of the fee is due on the day of the event. If you cancel within 30 days of your event, we will be unable to refund your deposit.

About a month prior to the event, I'll want to meet with you at the facility and do a "walk-thru" of the event.

What Is Included In Our Fee

THE FEE INCLUDES actors, props, costumes, clues, clue packets, etc. -- basically anything to do with the mystery. (Please note: this "anything" may have some rare exceptions, depending on the script chosen. A piano, for example.) We will personalize the script for your group, including "in" jokes, corporate information, and anything we can add to make it seem like it was written just for YOU. I'll help you with promotional ideas and work with you to develop a time frame to include any other activities on your agenda -- award presentation, DJ, dancing, speakers, auctions, etc.

THE FEE WILL NOT INCLUDE sound equipment, although we usually don't need mikes for groups of less than about 150. We also do not provide prizes, if you choose to give them, but I can give you ideas for fun and inexpensive awards. If your event will be presented further than a 2 hour drive from Kent, you may need to provide overnight accommodations for our cast and crew and there may be additional travel expenses involved. You must include our troupe (around 12) in your food count, if your event involves a meal. The only other thing you will need to provide is a "safe room" at the location, which needs to be near "your" room. This is where we store our personal items, clues, props, dead people, etc. Most venues have been able to find us something suitable and most do not charge for this. But in the event that there is a cost associated with this, it would be your responsibility.
